From 389 Directory Server

Why not document the process using the NIS schema? I have just implemented it in my directory without touching the built-in schema and it works perfectly, only the attribute names and objectclasses change, the rest is exactly the same.

Also, autofs searches for the NIS attributes first, so there's nothing to change on the client side.

So, why?
