What next? Where is everybody?
The roster of people should now appear as a collection of Contacts in Evolution, provided you do a search of some kind. For example, when composing an email you should be able to click on the To: button; in the Select Contacts from Addressbook window, select the Folder you created above (it will appear in the folder hierarchy under Other Contacts under Summary with the name you gave it in Step 4 above).
Typing the first few letters of someone's name; a list of matching people in the directory should appear.
